Jonathan Cordero

With over 14 years of senior-level experience in general management, strategy, and M&A, Jonathan D. Cordero is a seasoned leader and advisor in the metals and mining industry. He is currently the Head of Corporate Development at Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), a leading diversified natural resources group with operations in 15 countries and a workforce of 70,000 people.

At ERG, Jonathan is responsible for global ventures development, strategy, and M&A, with a special focus on the group's MENA growth platform. He has successfully led and executed multiple transactions, partnerships, and projects that have enhanced ERG's growth, profitability, and sustainability. He has also served as a board member at various companies, including TSX-listed Africo Resources.

In addition to his role at ERG, Jonathan is also an active investor and mentor in the ResourceTech space, supporting innovative startups that are creating a better tomorrow. He is a co-founder and partner at Caesar Ventures, a seed-stage investment firm that provides capital, guidance, and network to entrepreneurs in the fields of clean energy, circular economy, and digital transformation. He is passionate about fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and impact in the metals and mining sector and beyond.

Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Management from HHL-Leipzig Graduate School of Management, where he graduated with honors. He also completed an exchange program at Management Development Institute in India. He speaks fluent English, German, and Spanish. He is skilled in mergers and acquisitions, international capital markets, corporate finance, valuation and business modeling, and due diligence.
